Narkis Street Congregation is one of Jerusalem's oldest Evangelical communities, gathering at this site since 1926. Founded in 1923 by American missionaries alongside an Arab Baptist from Nazareth and a Messianic Jew, the congregation has worshipped through the establishment of the State of Israel and over a century of history. In 1982, arsonists burned the chapel during the Feast of Tabernacles. Two days later, 600 people gathered in the ruins in solidarity — and the congregation met in a tent for nine years. The current sanctuary, completed in 1991, was designed in the shape of a tabernacle to honor that experience. Over a century later, the community continues at 4 Narkis Street — a genuinely diverse body of international and local believers, ministry workers, students, and families from many nations and denominations, gathering as a House of Prayer for All Nations. What unites them is not background. It is the vision: drawing disciples of Jesus deeper into scripture in its ancient Jewish context.
Worship, fellowship, and service — lived out together each week.
